Entered into rest on Saturday, July 12, 2025, Command Sergeant Major, Stanley M. Davis, U.S. Army (Ret.), 72, loving husband of Sandra Annette Spottsville-Davis.
Stanley was born in Fayetteville, NC and enlisted in the United States Army at a young age. He had a passion for Jazz and Motown music, cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and dedicated his free time to supporting numerous community organizations.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sons: George Ray, Stephen Davis-Heslip, and Bobby Spottsville; daughters: Tamisha Davis and Sikia Davis; Grandchildren: Kiara Ray, Kayla Ray, Anthony Ray, Antonio Ray, Zoe Bey, Steven Seidel (Rj), Kortney Ray, Brittany Johnson, George Pastell Davis-Ray, and Brielle Spottsville. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tawanda Ray.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment with full military honors will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans https://www.dav.org/find-your-local-office/.
