Curt Jones

G. Curtis "Curt" Jones, 87, of Little Britain, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Crispin "Kip" (Jamison) Jones, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.

Born in West Chester, he was the son of the late Harry Charles "Casey" Jones and the late Estella Ruth (Jackson) Jones.

Curt was a graduate of Solanco High School, class of 1956. Following high school, he enlisted in the military and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1956 to 1962. Curt then found employment with Herr's Potato Chips for 25 years as a marketing manager, where he established new accounts in areas not served and he built vendor relationships with food store chains. Following Herr's, Curt helped found Lancaster County Farms, Inc., who marketed Aunt Annie's Potato Chips and Uncle Don's Potato Chips. In his later years he enjoyed helping the Amish.

Curt was very outgoing and enjoyed talking to people, having a good time, and telling a joke or two. In addition to his employment, he served as Supervisor and Roadmaster of Little Britain Township. Curt was a founding member of the Wakefield Lions Club, a member of the Washington Lodge #156 F. & A.M., Quarryville, PA, and he was a member of Shriners International. A member of Little Britain Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, he served as an Elder, Deacon, Trustee, and Sunday School Teacher. In his spare time, Curt was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed following the Phillies, Eagles, Flyers, and Penn State Football.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sheree (Dale) Spangler, a son, Troy (Robin) Jones, and a sister, Ruth (Les) Johnson, all of Little Britain. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Josh (Becky) Spangler, Ryan (Stephanie) Spangler, and Derrick Jones, four great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, at Little Britain Presbyterian Church, 255 Little Britain Church Road, Peach Bottom, PA 17563, with a time to visit with the family from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
