Mr. Curtice Leonne Pittman, Sr., age 85, of Pearson, Ga. passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Ga.

Born February 18, 2025, in Homerville, Ga., Mr. Pittman was the son of the late Jeff and Cleo Young Pittman. He enjoyed bowling, model trains, baseball, and Clinch County football. He retired from the maintenance department at Scapa Dryers Inc. in Waycross, Ga. and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Summer Pittman, son-in-law, Jerry Riggins, 3 brothers, Cortez Pittman, Sam Pittman, and Russell Pittman, sister, Esta Bohanan, and the mother of his children, Maxine Smith.

Survivors include:

2 Sons: Leonne Pittman and wife Amanda of Pearson, Ga.

Jesse L. Griffis and wife Colleen of Pearson, Ga.

Daughter: Scarlett Riggins and husband Tom Simmons of Pearson, Ga.

Sister: Shirley Pittman Smith of Homerville, Ga.

Very Special Friend: Thelma Melton of Waycross, Ga.

9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Mr. Pittman were held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 3:00 P.M., at Wesley Chapel Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Teddy Burch officiating. Special music included “Go Rest High on That Mountain”, "Lead Me Home" and “Amazing Grace” presented by cd. The internment followed in Royals Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were: Leonne Pittman, Skyler Pittman, Peyton Pittman, Johnny Riggins, Shawn Riggins, and Curtice Griffis.

Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
