A Gathering of Friends for Mr. Curtis Steven Gilcrease will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 22, 2024, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Gilcrease, 64, of Pollock, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Steve loved hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He enjoyed making people laugh and he never met a stranger. He loved his children and took great pleasure in teasing them with his witty sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Gilcrease; and his parents, Curtis Alvin and Ima Ann Gilcrease.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his two daughters, Fannie Malone (Christopher) of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Sarah Fletcher of Texas; four sisters, Sheila Gilcrease (Billy Procter) of Pollock, Mandy Holden (Cedric) of Pollock, Jody Ingles (James) of Pollock, and Melissa Miller (Tony) of Pollock; four grandchild, Xander Steven Malone of Chicago, Illinois; Makayla, Landon, and Luna of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving companion, Suzanne Phillips, who was there for him through all of the tears and pain, making him laugh in even the toughest times.
