Curtis E. Hillegass, 74, of Frostburg, died November 28, 2024, at Devlin Manor Healthcare Center.
Born May 5, 1950, in Frostburg, he was the son of the late Dalton Warren Hillegass and Thelma Mae (Turner) Hillegass.
He was also preceded in death by siblings, Albert Hillegass, Donna Dart, Anna Hillegass, Leona Schultz, David Hillegass, and Alvin Hillegass.
Curtis had worked at Hunter Douglas serving in many capacities. When the local plant closed, he went to Berry Plastics.
In his spare time, Curtis enjoyed Wednesday night BINGO, his bowling league, and purchasing lottery tickets. He loved being able to help folks – was already ready, willing, and able at a moment's notice.
Survivors include his children, Heather Hillegass and Brian Self; grandson, Nathan Hillegas; siblings, James Hillegas, Allen Hillegass, and Betty Lou Buttoroff; and, several nieces and nephews.
The Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, is handling the private arrangements.
