Curtis Keller (Poppy,Clutch,and Crash) was born in Hagerstown, Md, he passed away August 27 at the age of 76. He was the son of the late Earl Keller (Cash) and Mildred Keller (Mickie).
Survived by Peggy, his loving spouse of 41 years. Children Michelle Sprankle (Brian), Heather Jerin, Wendy Sites (Todd), Phillip Humphries (Megan) and Michael Lee (Kim), 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He is survived by brothers Alan Keller and Steve Keller (Vickie). Many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sisters Marsha Massey, Carolyn McSherry, brother Larry Keller and Grandson Tyler
He served in the Navy, member of the American Legion post 42 Hagerstown Md, Lifetime member of Redmen Club in Williamsport Md, past president of Civitan Club, Hagerstown MD, graduated from North Hagerstown High school in 1966.
He played softball for Steffey Finnley and participated in bowling leagues. Enjoyed Camping, dancing, poolside days with family, Sunday dinners with a poker game. He loved spending time watching Maryland Terrapins, Orioles, Capitals and Redskins. He worked for Sears Roebuck, Canteen and Greencastle Honda, retiring
in 2010, moved to North Carolina in 2012
He was the biggest fan of his grandchildren, watching them play sports, encouraging them to do the things their hearts desired. He was their first Santa and pulled many first teeth. His Grandsons liked riding on the mower, he combed his granddaughter's hair and read books. His recent favorite part of his day was getting a FaceTime video with Tripp, playing with grand-dogs and cats. He wore his heart on his sleeve and made everyone feel full of joy and love.
