Curtis Melvin

Curtis Melvin, age 66, of Fort Washington, PA, formerly of Pottstown, PA, passed away on June 13, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James Ira Marshall and Annie Daisey Beatrice Melvin (nee Woods).
Curtis attended school in the Philadelphia School District. He later attended trade school for building maintenance. Curtis was a man of great skill and integrity, known for his craftsmanship and unwavering to his work. Throughout his career, he left a lasting impact on all those who had the pleasure of working alongside him. His legacy in the construction industry will be remembered for years to come.
Curtis obtained his Minister’s license which he was very proud of. He was most passionate about music, television, fishing, and religion. He loved being a minister. He also loved animals.
He was predeceased in death by his step-mother, Pauline Marshall and his siblings, James Ira “Allen” Marshall, Clementine “Jimmie Lee” Paschal, Ernest Melvin, Samual Louis Melvin, Fanny Marshall, and Laura Melvin.
He leaves behind his sisters and brothers, Mary Armour, Anna Pearl Marshall, Earl Melvin, Melvin Bannister (Michael), Faith Madeline Melvin, Joanne Johnson (Michael), Darrell “Desi” Melvin, son Melvin Ross, and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family invites you to a memorial service in honor of Curtis on July 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at John F. Street Community Center, 1100 Poplar Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123
