Curtis E. Ridenour, aged 62, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away surrounded by love on June 14, 2025, in South Bend, Indiana. Born to the late Edward and Sharon (VanBellingham) Ridenour on April 24, 1963, in Mishawaka, Curtis was a lifelong resident of the area.
A proud graduate of Mishawaka High School, Class of 1982, Curtis laid the foundational blocks of a life built upon dedication, service, and passion. He met the love of his life, Kimberly (Kruszewski) Ridenour, and they were united in marriage in his hometown on September 5, 1987. Together, they created a family that became his pride and joy, with the birth of their daughter Samantha and son Zachary.
Curtis's work ethic was unparalleled, with a career spanning over 27 years with Martins Super Market, where he held numerous esteemed positions. But he didn't stop there; he also dedicated 12 years to Burger King, maintaining the quality and standards of their establishments.
Beyond his professional life, Curtis's interests were varied and close to his heart. He was an enthusiast of his 1984 El Camino SS, taking great delight in cruising and maintaining it. His competitive spirit shone through in the local dart leagues where he both played and formed lasting bonds with fellow members. Curtis also had a special knack for working on cars, a hobby that provided both solace and excitement.
His home life was enriched by companionship beyond his human family; his dogs, Maggie and his sleeping buddy Sadie, brought him immeasurable joy and comfort. A true family man, Curtis considered every moment with his wife, children, brother Robert (Kim) Ridenour, and brother-in-law Kevin (Imogene) Kruszewski Sr. a blessing. His presence was a guarantee of warmth, laughter, and unconditional support.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 11-1 with services beginning at 1 p.m. all being held at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. Mishawaka, IN 46545. Procession to Fairview cemetery will immediately follow the service.
