Cynthia "Cindy" Brown, a beacon of love and selflessness, was called to her eternal home on September 1, 2025, after a life rich with love, laughter, and unwavering faith. Born on September 16, 1962, to William & Patricia (Cruel) Brown in Paterson, New Jersey, Cindy's life journey began and concluded in her beloved hometown.
A proud graduate of Eastside High School, she cultivated lifelong friendships and laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to become a respected business owner, providing care and guidance to countless children through the 4C's educational program. She continued her commitment to nurturing when she became a nurse's aide at the Christian Health, LLC in Wyckoff, NJ. There she was a respected and loved staff member. She will be greatly missed by her co-workers and administrators.
Cindy's life was a reflection of her faith, and she touched the lives of many with her small acts of kindness and her grand gestures of love. Cindy's trips to the casino were not merely about the games but about the joy of the experience and the company of friends and loved ones. Cindy's heart knew no bounds when it came to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Patricia Brown and her son Lamar Reed, affectionately known as Mikey.
Her legacy of love will forever be remembered by her sons, Jermar Roberts and Clinton "Squirrel" Moore; daughters, Nicole Reed and Alicia McNiel of Paterson, NJ and Shade Boyd of Passaic, NJ; former husband, Clinton "Prince" Reed of North Carolina; grandchildren Byron Stevenson, Noah Clark, Novah Clark, Jamari Roberts, Jeremiah Roberts, and Jezmarie Roberts; her great-nieces and nephews who were more like her grandchildren, Robert McFadden, Gary McFadden, Akeelah Clark, Savannah Clark and Aaliyah Clark, all from Paterson NJ and brought immeasurable joy to her life. She was also blessed to enjoy life with her great-great grandnieces & nephews, Elizabeth McFadden, Abigail McFadden, Mossiah McFadden and Kaden McFadden who will carry her legacy forward. Along with her special friend Lennox Hunt, her aunt Denise "DC" Brown, dear cousins Kindala "Kim" Brown and Bryanna Richburg, a host of cousins, and friends will miss her warm presence. She was a pillar of strength and compassion in her family, always ready to offer support or a listening ear.
Her selflessness was the hallmark of her character, and it is this quality that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. As we bid farewell, Cindy's life was a testament to the joy and warmth she brought into this world. Her sudden departure due to an unexpected illness has left a void in the hearts of many, but her legacy of love will forever resonate with those who knew and loved her.
