Cynthia "Cindy" A. Czyzewski, 77, of Bradenton, FL passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024 unexpectedly. Cindy was born on March 22nd, 1947 in Plattsburgh, NY. She was the daughter of Alexander Yanulavich and Nora Kellogg Yanulavich. She married the love of her life, Paul A. Czyzewski on August 16, 1980.
Cindy was a graduate of the Lyon Mountain School District, Class of 1965. Cindy served as the first Educational Interpreter for the CEWW BOCES, Program for the Deaf. She served the school districts of Plattsburgh, Peru, Keeseville (AuSable Valley Central) and Northern Adirondack Central. Her definition of an Educational Interpreter included tutoring, mentoring, as well as sign language teaching. Her relationships and support exceeded all expectations in the field.
It was not uncommon for Cindy to arrive home from work at 11pm on occasion after preparing crafts, holiday activities, and various things for her students. In addition to the academics, she provided crafts, taught life skills, and cooking. Cindy was even known to "help" with drivers' education. It was recently said that Cindy did everything with excellence. She was truly honest, fair, and loving to all of her students. For many evenings she could be found teaching ASL at PSUC Center of Life Long Learning or directing The Signs of Love (the sign language choir). Cindy also provided interpreting services for CVPH (Labor & Delivery, ER & Recovery Room) as well as other community agencies. Cindy often opened her home to the Deaf community, where they become friends and family.
Most recently, Cindy was involved in the Ministry to the Deaf "DeafLife" at Resonate Life Church, Bradenton, FL. Previously she was co-director of Services for the Deaf at First Assembly of God, Plattsburgh, NY.
Everyone that knew Cindy was blessed and inspired by her strong faith and willingness to do anything she could to help others. Cindy was a kind and soft individual that warmed everyone's heart that she came in contact with.
Cindy is survived by her husband Paul, her children: Joe Corral (Becky), Carol Lynn Polhemus (Thomas Morley), and her grandchildren: Kayla, Chelsea, Hanna and Brittany. Cindy's pride and joy will always be her great grandchildren: Ayden, Milo, Montie and Gracie. Cindy is also survived by her brothers Bryan (Teresa) Yanulavich, Frank Yanulavich, and Kevin (Rhea) Broderick, sister Phyllis Williams, Brothers-in law: Bobby Cooper, James "Jim-John" (Kay) Moody. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
