Cynthia "Cindy" Lynn Greenhill, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away on September 1, 2024, in Crestwood, Kentucky, at the age of 62. Born on April 21, 1962, in Louisville, Kentucky, Cynthia lived a life dedicated to beauty and service.
Cindy graduated from Oldham County High School in 1980 laying the foundation for her future pursuits. In 1986, she completed her education at the Roys of Louisville Beauty Academy, embarking on a fulfilling career as a cosmetologist that lasted for 33 years. Her talent and passion for her work left a lasting impression on all those who had the pleasure of knowing her, both personally and professionally.
A devoted family woman, Cindy is survived by her loving son, Charles J. Greenhill, and her grandchild, Amelia P. Greenhill, who brought her immense joy. She also leaves behind her brothers, Richard Charles Falls, Jr. and Steven Wayne Falls, who will carry forward her memory. Additionally, her uncles, William Falls and Mark Nussbaum, as well as her aunt, Robin Nussbaum, will remember her fondly. Cindy cherished her relationships with her nephews, Eric Falls and Joshua Falls, and her cousins, Tommy Gentry, Teddy Gentry, and Terry Gentry, who were also integral parts of her life.
Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Richard C Falls, Sr., her mother, Claudia Nussbaum Carter, and her aunt, Janice Nussbaum Posey. She is also reunited with her stepmother, Martha Jane Falls, and her stepfather, Edward Carter, who have all left a profound impact on her life.
The love and warmth that Cindy brought into the lives of those around her will always be remembered, and her legacy will live on through her family and friends. She will be missed dearly, but her spirit will forever shine bright in the hearts of those who knew her.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A service celebrating Cindy's life will follow at 11:00 am that day at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations in Cindy's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
