Cynthia Denise Luginbihl, 67, of Lima, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on September 12, 2025. Cynthia was born on December 27, 1957, in Springfield, Missouri, to Maynard Luginbihl and Francis (Kolander) Luginbihl.
She is survived by her brothers Michael Luginbihl of Lima, OH, and Patrick Luginbihl of Toledo, OH; nephews Doug Corder and wife Sharon of Alva, OK, Jason Corder and wife Ashley of Woodward, OK, and Mike Burton and wife Penny of Coffeyville, KS; along with many beloved great-nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by numerous cousins, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Cynthia leaves behind dear friends Jean Napier, Linda Scott, and Whitney Blanchard, who were like family.
She was preceded in death by her father Maynard Luginbihl, Mother Francis (Kolander) Luginbihl, brother Charles Corder, and sisters-in-law Mary Kay Corder and Diane Marie Luginbihl.
Cynthia graduated from Bath High School in 1976 and from Northwest Beauty College in 1977. She worked as a correctional officer at the Lima Correctional Facility for 20 years and later retired after 17 years as a staff manager with Champaign Residential Services Incorporated.
Cynthia had a big personality and a heart to match. She was bold, funny, and full of life-never afraid to say exactly what she thought. She loved a good laugh, a strong cup of coffee, and any chance to sit outside surrounded by her flowers and her beloved dogs. Whether she was telling a story, cracking a joke, or making her presence known in a room, Cynthia left an impression that no one will forget.
Her laughter, love, and unforgettable spirit will be carried on by all who were lucky enough to know her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Cynthia and the joy she brought into the lives of so many. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Deb's Dogs Animal Rescue in Lima, Ohio - a cause close to her heart.
"She will live on in the stories we tell and the love we share."
