Cynthia Sue Magrey, born on September 11, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on September 30, 2025, in New Albany, Indiana, surrounded by her devoted daughter and sister. Cynthia's journey through life was marked by resilience, vibrance, and an unwavering spirit that touched the hearts of many.

For 23 years, Cynthia dedicated herself to her work at what is now known as Campbell's Snacks in Jeffersonville, where her commitment and strong work ethic were evident. She established lasting friendships during her career, and her coworkers will remember her warmth and dedication.

Cynthia's personality was outgoing and filled with an infectious joy for life. She found immense pleasure in simple joys such as spending time at the beach, fishing, and sitting by the lake. Her love for bingo, Wheel of Fortune, and scratch-offs added a playful gleam to her vivacious spirit. She had a profound affection for all animals, showcasing her nurturing heart. Above all, Cynthia was a beloved mother, often referred to as the best anyone could have, embodying strength and perseverance.

Among her proudest accomplishments was her fierce battle against breast cancer, and her subsequent five-year struggle with lung cancer. Her tenacity in the face of adversity served as an inspiration to all who knew her.

Cynthia leaves behind her cherished daughter, Kasey Sue Magrey, and son Adam Cook. She was a devoted grandmother to Layla Matney, Brayden Cook, Devin Magrey, Lasia Dillard, and Tayla Dillard, and she also leaves several great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward. In addition to her immediate family, Cynthia is survived by her stepdaughter Tammy Magrey; sister Shirley Thomas; brother-in-law Alan Magrey and his wife Rhonda; brother-in-law Mike Magrey; sister-in-law Bonnie Lampkin and her husband Terry; and a host of nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.

Cynthia was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Lee "Fuzz" Magrey; father, Jack E. Koontz; and mother, Susan E. Koontz. Their memories will forever be intertwined with hers, as she cherished each relationship deeply.

Visitation will be at Grayson Funeral Home, 893 High Street, Charlestown, on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM with her Celebration of Life at 5:00.
