Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Elizabeth Mason, 73 of Lewiston, Michigan died suddenly on June 23, 2025 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 27, 1952 to the late Duane and Marilyn (Banks) Heaton. She has resided in Lewiston for the past 23 years, formerly of Imlay City. Cindy loved wildlife and enjoyed watching the birds, deer, and bears that would come through her yard. She is and will be deeply missed.
Cindy is remembered by her loving husband, Richard Mason; daughters, Lorrie (Alan) Rusek, Courtney (Rick Smith) Dowdy; grandchildren, Sydnee Heaton, Heather Dowdy, Justin Dowdy; great-grandson, Myles Lawrence; and sisters, Stephanie (Charles) Naiper, and Robin Strittmatter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Duane and Marilyn Heaton; and brother, Mark Heaton.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. The family has chosen to remember Cindy privately at this time.
