Cynthia Stone Mize, age 71, of Lithia Springs, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024.
Born August 14, 1953, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Roderick Stone and Hazel McCullough Stone. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gail Stone Long.
Cindy was formerly a surgical coordinator for Atlanta Women's Health Group. She was a very generous and selfless woman who loved everyone unconditionally. Some of her favorite things were southern gospel music, the Clemson Tigers, and Christmas movies. She loved Christmas so much that she kept her home decorated year-round. Most of all though, Cindy loved and cherished her family. She was formerly a member of Pope Drive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Mize Jensen (Bill) of Howell, NJ; sisters, Debra Stone Shrum (Donnie) of Charlotte, NC, and Miriam Stone Johnson (Roy Lee) of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Hope Jensen, Jake Jensen, and Ryan Jensen all of Howell, NJ; cousin, Linda Mitchell (David) of Lithia Springs, GA; and her very special best friend since middle school, Tweetie Marett Bowman of Spartanburg, SC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 1:00-2:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Bill Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will be at the home of Danny Mize, 20 Oleander Dr., Anderson, SC 29621.
