Cynthia Moon

Cynthia Annette Moon was born September 24, 1964 and peacefully departed life on January 31, 2025. Cindy grew up in Bluff Park, Alabama and attended Bluff Park United Methodist Church. She graduated from W.A. Berry High School, then attended several colleges before deciding to complete her education to honor her deceased father, Dan Moon. She received her B.S. from Jacksonville State University and her M.A. in Nutrition and Dietetics from U.A.B.
Cindy moved to Calabash, NC where she met and joined the family of Tom Allen and his two children, Thomas and Amanda. Cindy often commented that her greatest accomplishment in life was raising her son and daughter.
Cindy was passionate about her vocation. She worked for McLeod Seacoast Loris Hospital and then later worked remotely as a dietician for nursing homes and behavioral health clinics.
Her activities included not only cooking, but also golfing, dancing and going to the beach where she enjoyed watch Tom surf. Cindy loved animals and nature, especially her car Daisy.
Cindy is survived by her mother, Frances Moon, her husband Tom Moon and her daughter, Amanda and her son, Thomas. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services for Cindy will be at Anchor Baptist Church on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 7:00 PM. Along with an additional service at Bluff Park United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 12 at 1:00 PM. Visitation to follow.
