Cynthia Morrison Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bunker Family Funerals & Cremation - University Chapel on Jan. 20, 2026.
Cynthia Lundell Morrison passed away at the age of 66 on January 15, 2026, in Queen Creek, Arizona. She was born to Norman and Margaret Lundell on December 30, 1959, in Payson, Utah. Cindy loved to travel, hike with friends, work on puzzles, read thriller/mystery books, and most of all she found so much joy in being a "nana" to her grandchildren.

Cindy grew up in Utah. She later moved to Maryland where she met Ron at a singles' dance and they were married on August 3, 1990, in the Salt Lake Temple. Cindy graduated from the University of Maryland at Baltimore County with a degree in Information Systems Management in 1994. Over the years, Cindy worked at National Semiconductor, Intel, Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, and Valleywise Health. She was an amazing manager, always leading and guiding others with support and compassion.

Ron and Cindy stayed in Maryland in the early and mid-1990s where their 2 daughters were born. They moved to Sherwood, Oregon, in 1997 where they settled down (for about 22 years) to raise their girls. Cindy volunteered with Voices for the Performing Arts – an organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting the Sherwood community through music, dance, and theater. After the girls had grown up and moved out, Cindy decided she needed more sunshine than rain and felt prompted to relocate to retire in Arizona.

Cindy served her church community in a variety of voluntary callings, especially with the Relief Society and Young Women's groups. She enjoyed getting to be involved with her daughters at church and at camps during their teenage years. She loved her church community and developed many deep and meaningful friendships with the women she worked with. She also had the opportunity to serve as an ordinance worker at the Gilbert Arizona Temple.

Cindy's love of traveling took her to many places around the world. She visited Ireland and Germany and lived in Israel for 6 months through her work. She took the girls on a cruise to see Scandinavia, Germany, and Russia. They took family trips to Canada, Mexico, and all over the United States.

Cindy will be remembered by her family as an example of strength and tender-hearted compassion as a wonderful wife and mother. She loved talking to everyone she met and could easily make friends with anyone. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father Norman (Margaret) and her brother, Scott (Jeanine). Cindy is survived by her mother Margaret, 6 siblings (Lorilie, Pam (Lyle), Kris (Lisa), Kerri, Becky (Clint), and Andrea (Aaron)), husband Ron, 2 daughters (Jazmyne (Spencer) and Makenzi), and 2 grandsons Charlie and Clark.

Arizona funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Saturday, January 24, at 10:00 a.m. at 20415 East Chandler Heights Road in Queen Creek, Arizona. Oregon funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday, January 30, at 10:00 a.m. at 17234 Southwest Meinecke Road in Sherwood, Oregon (with a viewing 1 hour before). Internment will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sherwood, Oregon.
