Cynthia "Cyndi" Elaine Nightingale
1952-2025
"The love she gave will forever live within the hearts of those she cherished."
Cynthia Elaine Nightingale, affectionally known as Cyndi, passed away peacefully at Kings Daughters Medical Center on November 4, 2025.
Cyndi was born in the fall of 1952, on October 23. She was the blessing of the late James Leonard and Joan Lunsford Homan and sister to Bobby Hollenbeck and Todd Hollenbeck. Cyndi had a compassionate heart and loved to care for others. Her passion for others led to her career as a CNA. She had a very creative soul and loved working with her hands. Each stitch of her crochet work was made with love and patience. When her hands were not busy with stitching her fingers were quick at work on her video game controller. Cyndi loved getting lost in her games, it was the best way to relax. Cyndi was a romantic at heart, she always looked forward to the Holidays because of all the romantic Hallmark Christmas Movies that came along with cold weather. Perhaps, it was her romantic heart that led to her blessed marriage of over 52 years with her husband Thomas "Thom" Nightingale. Together two as blessed with three beloved children; Krystal Nightingale( Clay Smith) of Catlettsburg, KY, Amanda Davis (Steven) of Colusa, CA, and Benjamin Nightingale of Huntington, WV. As the family grew along came the grandchildren she loved and adored; Jasmine, Phoebe, Victoria, Thomas, Michael, and Gianna, as well as one great-grandbaby Zuko.
Cyndi's faith was rooted in Christianity and her love for Jesus. There is no doubt that she is walking the streets of gold. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her life's work is over and that she was greeted in Heaven by those friends and family that passed before her. Cyndi was preceded in death by one sister Trish Pesek.
Although Cyndi has moved on from this life, her legacy will live on in the memories and stories that will be shared for many generations to come.
A memorial service may be announced at a later date.
