Jerry Lee West, age 70, of Ashland, Kentucky, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 24, 2025, while resting at home.
Jerry was born on October 31, 1954. He was the blessing of the late Millard Thomas and Martha Carter West of Ashland, KY. Jerry was a 1974 graduate of Boyd County High School, and in 2021 he retired from Big Sandy Furniture to enjoy the simple life and his family that he loved so much.
Jerry loved to be out doors and spend time fishing on the water. The peacefulness of the water just brought him calm like no other, although he relished in the excitement of hooking a big catch. Jerry's best catch however was his darling wife of over fifty years, Delores Ann Salyers West. Together the two enjoyed making a life and crafting together. Jerry favorite hobby was just being home with his family.
Jerry will forever be remembered in the hearts of those he touched as a simple caring man in flannel who cherished moments with his family and friends that he held so dearly in his memories.
In addition to his wife, Delores, Jerry leaves behind his one brother William "Bill" West and his wife Mary of Lexington, KY, and one sister Gloria West of Ashland, KY and a host of special Nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Jerry will be laid to rest following a visitation at the Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum on Thursday, October 30th, 2025. Visitation will be from 11:30am until closing remarks at 12:00 pm. It was Jerry's wish that everyone wear blue jeans and flannel in memory of him.
