Cynthia Perez
April 29, 1974 – April 26, 2025
With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Cynthia Perez, who left this world on April 26, 2025, just three days before her 51st birthday. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments.
Born on April 29, 1974, to Luis Perez and Carmen Cardenas in New Braunfels, Texas Cynthia lived a life filled with compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. On February 14, 1990, she married her forever Valentine, Jose A. Perez. Together, they shared 35 beautiful years, building a life full of love, family, and cherished memories.
Cynthia was a proud and loving mother to Joe, James, and Genesis, and stepmother to Jose Jr. Her children were her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding them with care and wisdom. She was also a devoted grandmother, and her grandchildren brought endless happiness to her life. Her home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and support.
She had a joyful spirit and found happiness in the simple things. She was always the life of the party, bringing laughter to every gathering. Her radiant smile and engaging personality endeared her to many. She carried a remarkable ability to light up any room. Her genuine spirit touched everyone she encountered. One of her favorite hobbies was going to yard sales, where she loved finding unique treasures. Cynthia was deeply committed to her family and her community. Her giving spirit reached all the way to Mexico, where she embraced her roots and found meaningful ways to give back. Her love touched everyone around her-family, friends, and beyond.
Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Carmen Acosta, and grandchildren, Jeremiah and Leilani. Though gone from this earth, their memory lived on in Cynthia's heart and in the stories she shared.
She is survived by her children, Joe, James, Genesis, and Jose Jr.; her grandchildren;her stepfather, Jesus Acosta; her siblings, April Pace, May Togo, Priscilla Villarreal, and Naomi Hernandez; as well as numerous family and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Cynthia's life will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lux Funeral Home.
Cynthia's life was a testament to love, faith, and service. Her legacy lives on in the hearts she touched and the lives she made better simply by being herself.
