Cynthia Pospisil

On November 29, 2025, Cynthia left us to join her parents, Sylvan "Butch" Pospisil and Pauline Pospisil Kosub. Cynthia was born on April 29, 1952. She was loved by her parents, her extended family and the staff at the San Antonio State Supported Living Center. She lost her father early in her life, but her mother made sure that she never felt alone. Cynthia will be remembered for her sweet smile, her love for classic country western music and listening to stories. She also was a fan of Fiesta events. She was crowned queen at the San Antonio State Supported Living Center's Fiesta celebration and attended their Fiesta events at SASSLC.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her aunts and uncles, Charles and Ann Jendrzey, Gene and Isabell Hilscher, and Hugh Jones. Cynthia is survived by her aunt, Sophie Jones and her many cousins. The family would like to thank the staff at SASSLC for the many years of care, love and compassion they showed Cynthia. The family would also like to thank the nurses and medical staff at Methodist Metropolitan Hospital and Compassus Hospice for the care they provided to Cynthia.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, and a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Dellcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10:00 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, followed by Entombment at San Fernando Cemetery II.

If you would like to do something in remembrance of Cynthia, please consider a donation to the SASSLC's Volunteer Services Council or a charity in support of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
