Mary R. Galvan

Mary Galvan, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in San Antonio, TX. She was born on December 31, 1938 to parents Pilar Sr. and Cruzita Rodriguez. Preceded in death by her Parents; Husband: Martin Galvan Sr.; Grandson: Jacob Montez; Brothers: Pilar Rodriguez Jr., Fernando Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, and John Rodriguez; Sister: Jovita Coronado. She was survived by her Siblings: Gilbert Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, Arturo Rodriguez, Ricky Rodriguez, and Yolanda Torres; Sons: Martin Jr. (Frances), Nino (Gracie), Robert, Jesse (Susie), and Michael (Brenda); Daughters: Belinda (Joe) and Margaret. She made a great impact on her 27 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren who will love and miss her dearly. She will also be missed by numerous friends, loved ones, and her Denver Heights community. Her title "Grandma Galvan" was her biggest trophy and will forever be remembered for her love and kindness towards all. Her love for Fiesta parades, holidays, and Spurs games hold amazing memories we will never forget. She was never without her purse, wallet, jellybeans, cookies along side a cold Diet Coke. Heaven has gained "THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ANGEL". A big thank you to Margaret, Robert, and Priscilla Galvan for their undivided love and care for Mary until her last day.
Visitation will be held at Dellcrest Funeral Home on Tuesday November 11 from 5 pm - 8 pm with rosary recited at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue Wednesday November 12 at 8:30 am - 9:30 am. Departing Dellcrest Funeral Home at 9:30 am for 10 am mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Interment to follow at Mission Park South.
