Cynthia Lee Troupe, 72, of Wilcox County, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, with the Rev. Charlie Solomon officiating.
Mrs. Troupe was born December 7, 1950, to the late Major & Patricia Ruth Brown Reynolds. She worked for Dollar General as a retail manager. Mrs. Troupe loved her children, grandchildren, family and her Dollar General family. She enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to the wind and birds. She loved cooking, especially desserts and was known for her chocolate cakes and tea cakes. She also assisted with the children's church where she was a faithful member at Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Johnny Troupe of Wilcox County; three children: Brian Edward Troupe & Christy, Benjamin Harold Troupe & Christy and Amber Nicole Fountain; grandchildren: Kaden Fountain, Shawn Wise, Austin Kane Troupe and Britney Lee Troupe; two step-grandchildren: Alexis Deanne Kinard and Hailey Marie Kinard; a sister, Janet Dunn & Gary of Fitzgerald and a sister-in-law, Cathy Reynolds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Rodney Lee Reynolds and Darrell Reynolds and her step-father, Ben Henry Evans.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to Salem Baptist Church, Children's Fund, c/o Teresa Dorminy, 300 A L Reeves Rd, Rochelle, GA 31079.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.
