Cynthia Williamson Pearce Obituary

Published by Legacy from Jul. 24 to Jul. 25, 2025.
Cynthia Ann Williamson Pearce, 60, of Georgetown, KY, formerly of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born on May 26, 1965, in Glasgow, KY, "Cindy" was the oldest of three children born to Linda Ann Rutherford Williamson of Georgetown and the late Roger Lynn Williamson. A 1983 Oldham County High School graduate, Cindy's loyalty, uncompromising ethics, accounting and computer science acumen, and organizational skills served her well as a business officer with the University of Kentucky from 1994-2018 and previously with the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens, where she earned the respect of all with whom she worked.
On July 25, 1987, she married her best friend and soulmate Robert "Bob" Pearce, and together they loved and supported each other and their extended families, making the most of every day, and welcoming and raising their son William Franklin Pearce, who loved and respected his mother's dependability and counsel.
Cindy opened her heart and home to seven cats she rescued: Mess, Copper, Munchie, Montgomery, Crystal, Zelda and Basil. She loved the challenge of Sudoku puzzles, board games, and cross-stitch.
Surviving to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her husband of 37 years Bob Pearce; her son William Franklin Pearce of Frankfort; her mother Linda Ann Rutherford Williamson; her mother-in-law Amelia Courtney Pearce of Georgetown; her two siblings: Randal Williamson (Aimee) and Joel Williamson (April), both of Georgetown; her niece Ashley Williamson (Max); her nephew Matthew Williamson (Emily); her great niece Freya Edison; and her great nephew Lachlan Williamson.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Tucker Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home, 320 W. Main Street, Georgetown, KY, followed by her funeral service at 4 pm, officiated by Kevin Barnard and Sr. Pastor Andrew Singh. Memorials are suggested to the Scott County Humane Society: 751 Slone Drive #13, Georgetown, KY 40324.
