Cyril Joseph Hart

Cyril "Cy" Joseph Hart, 88 of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully July 27, 2025 in Robbinsdale. Funeral will take place at Washburn- McReavy Glen Haven Funeral Chapel 5125 W Broadway, Crystal, Minnesota on August 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM, visitation at 10:00 AM. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery September 2, 2025. Born January 17, 1937 to William and Helen of North Minneapolis. He graduated in 1955 from North High School. Then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served until 1959. He then became a driver at the Star & Tribune under Local 638 Teamsters from 1964 to 1995. Cy is survived by loving wife Luanne of 67 years, children; Sheryl (Michael) Helm, Gary (Pamela) and Timothy (Jennifer), six grandchildren; Kyle, Kaylee, Daniel, Anna, Kelsey and Mary along with three great-grandchildren; McKenna, Callen and Luanna. Siblings; William (Patricia), Kenneth (Marj) and Theresa (John) Hall. Numerous nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws along with beloved family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and playing cribbage. Along with his brothers and sister, he hosted the Annual Hart Open from 1983-1992 where it grew annually and was a much anticipated event for family and friends. His travels included Las Vegas trips where he enjoyed the Irish Showband, to a 1977 pig roast in the back yard, cruises where he even did parasailing and his big trip of visiting Ireland in 1987 where he kissed the Blarney Stone. He enjoyed John Wayne movies and would be heard say, "well, Pilgrim, that'll be the day."
