D.A. Gordon

D.A. Gordon, known as "D" to friends and family, age 46, passed away peacefully at home in Pocatello, Idaho, on January 30, 2026.

Born in Blackfoot, Idaho, D was raised there before serving his country in the United States Army. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician-a role that reflected his courage, discipline, and quiet strength.

After leaving the Army, D settled in Colorado, where he met the love of his life, Christa. Together they built a life rooted in devotion, loyalty, and deep love, and welcomed their son, Neil, who was the light of D's life. The family later returned to Idaho to be close to loved ones.

D was a quiet soul who loved fiercely and was loyal to a fault. He had a remarkable talent for miniature painting, bringing patience and precision to every piece. He also found joy and connection through flight simulation, flying weekly with friends from around the world. In gaming and flight sim circles, he was known simply as "Red."

D is survived by his wife, Christa; his son, Neil; his mother, Nancy; and his sister, Noelette, along with many friends who became family through shared service, hobbies, and years of connection.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his dedication to those he loved, and the quiet but lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He now goes to rest beyond the final frontier-his watch complete, his journey continuing among the stars.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 at Grove City Cemetery, 1 Willow Drive in Blackfoot, under direction of the Hawker Funeral Home.
