DaJuan (DaeDae) De'Angelo Townsend, age 20, passed away on May 5, 2024. He was born on January 25, 2004, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his beloved parents, Erica J. Gertz and DeAngelo C. Townsend. He was also lovingly raised by his bonus dad, Lee Anderson.
DaJuan was a cherished father to his beautiful daughter, Xylainee Nicole. He was a dear brother to Sheveria, Destiny, Neveah, Dereon, Romeo, Jeremiah, Prynce, Trevon, Angelina, McKenna, and Azaria, and a treasured uncle to Promise, Melody, and Jasper.
He is fondly remembered by his maternal grandparents, Ellis Moore III and Jennifer Moore, and his paternal grandparents, James Townsend and Darlene Smith. DaJuan is also survived by maternal aunts and uncles: Brittany, Jennifer, Amy, Justin, Monique, and Ellis IV, as well as his paternal aunts and uncles: Sharica, Shaundale, Jermaine, and the late Lakisha and Tito. Additionally, DaJuan leaves behind a host of loving cousins and extended family members.
DaJuan had a passion for rapping and football, pursuits that brought immense joy and fulfillment to his life. His loud, infectious laugh had the power to make everyone around him laugh. Always joking and wearing a smile, DaJuan, affectionately known as DaeDae, did everything he could to make his mother proud. His vibrant spirit and loving nature will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, May 17th, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Slone & Co. Life Celebration Center 3556 W. 130th St. Cleveland, OH 44111, where a Homegoing Service will be held at 3 p.m.
