The Lord has called Dale to his rest on October 20, 2024 due to his dementia.
Dale was born May 10, 1944 in the Alden Township, Illinois, to Herman & Anna Becker. When Dale was quite young, the family moved to Athens, Wisconsin area to farm. He grew up around animals which he loved.
Upon leaving school he began working in the construction field as a heavy equipment operator. He worked in this field for over 56 years & really enjoyed it. It took him from Duluth to Milwaukee & all points in between. He also did a small job in Alaska & work in California.
On March 27, 1964 he joined the US Army. This was during the Vietman war. He did his overseas duty in Germany.
March 1, 1968 he married Sally Hagen.
Dale also loved to hunt, especially deer in his 80 acres of woods he aquired early in life. He also worked very hard in his woods which he enjoyed so much.
Dale is survived by his wife, Sally. His children Tami (Kent) Woller of Belleville, WI, Karl (Laura) Becker, Roswell, New Mexico & Kenny Becker, Wausau, WI. His grandchildren, MiAnna (Ty) Hefty, Biance Woller, Lindsey (Jeremiah) Tollakson, Alan Woller, Mckenna Becker, Nathanial Mitchell, & Christian Becker and a great grandson Reid Hefty. Sisters-in-law Evangeline Becker & Marilyn Becker. Brother-in-law Lee Parmer & many nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Anna Becker, a son, Alan, brothers Alfred, Orville & Delmar Becker, sisters, Marcella Cook, Verna Groff, Dorothy Gruhlke, & Irma Parmer.
A memorial service will be held at 1PM on Saturday, October 26th, 2024 at Helke Funeral Home in Wausau, WI. Visitation will begin at 12PM until the time of services at the funeral home. Military honors will follow services.
