MITCHELL – Dale Owen Cain, 85, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at his residence.

Born July 17, 1940, in Wayne County, he was the son of Howard E. and Mildred (Nelson) Cain.

Dale was a graduate of Richmond High School and received his D.D.S. from Indiana University Dental School. He retired as a dental lab tech in Ohio. He later owned the Hide-A-Way Lounge for 14 years and drove a semi-truck as a long haul trucker. Dale was a U.S. Air Force veteran, where he attained the rank of Captain. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107 and the National Rifle Association.

Surviving are his children, Tony Lee (Edna) Cain of Scottsburg and Randy Scott Cain of San Jose, California; granddaughter, Sara (Bobby) Jones of North Vernon; great-grandchild, Ryker Jones; and sister, Barbara Chamberlain of Mooresville, Pennsylvania.

His parents preceded him in death.

Cremation has been chosen.
