H. Dale Campman, 97, of Smethport, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Lakeview Senior Care & Living Center.

Born December 6, 1927, in Hazelhurst, he was a son of the late Mitchell and Frances (Rathburn) Campman. He was a 1945 graduate of Hazelhurst High School.

On June 12, 1946, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served with the 537 th Engineering Base Survey Company Survey and Instrument man, during WWII. Dale was honorably discharged on March 18, 1949. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal.

On April 9, 1950, he married Donna Marie (Brown) Campman, who preceded him in death on May 17, 2024.

Dale worked at Hanley Brick Company in Lewis Run until it closed, then went to work in Kittanning for a ceramic company until he retired. In retirement he worked part time at Value Home Center and shuttled cars for Fairway Ford.

Dale was a member of the Kingdom Hall - Jehovah's Witness of Bradford.

Surviving is one daughter, Doreen Campman, of Smethport, and two grandchildren, Laurie King and Seth Thessen.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna Marie, of 74 years, and two daughters, Debbie Campman who died in 1979, and Dawn Frase who died in 2018.

At Dale's request services are private and at the convenience of family. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
