Dale Compton Obituary
He was born November 4, 1966, in Painesville, Ohio to Jimmy and Violet Compton and graduated from Perry High School.
Dale owned and operated Compton Drywall. He was known for having a great sense of humor and loved going on spur of the moment road trips. He also enjoyed racing at Painesville Speedway, fishing, reading the newspaper every day, and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved following high school wrestling and had an amazing ability to recall statistics. Dale could tell you the name of every wrestler who had ever placed at state competition in Northeast Ohio for the past 40 years.
He is survived by his daughter, Cotie Compton Clevenger and her husband Mark; best friend, Michelle Webb; grandchildren, Serenity Clevenger and Demitrius Compton; siblings, Mark "Jimmy" Compton of Perry, Ohio and James Lee Compton of Arizona.
Dale was preceded in death by his children, AnJilakia "Jelly" Compton, Renee Violet Compton, and Paul Compton; parents, Jimmy and Violet Compton; brother, Shannon Lee Compton.
He will be laid to rest in Arcola Cemetery in Madison Township.
Contributions in his name can be made to the Lake County Dog Shelter, 2600 North Ridge Road, Painesville, Ohio 44077 or the Ashtabula County APL, 5970 Green Road, Ashtabula, Ohio 44004.
