Dale Laws Obituary

Born on December 14, 1961 in Avery County, he was the son of the late Clarence and Louise Vance Laws. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Garnette Laws and a brother, Bill Laws.
Dale was a member of Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired from the N.C. Forest Service following thirty-eight years of service. He was a forty-eight-year member of the Green Valley Volunteer Fire Department and had served as Captain for thirty plus years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to gospel music and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Lisa Rogers Laws, his sons; Michael Dale Laws and wife, Karen and Cody Laws and wife, Hannah, his grandchildren; Marlye, Gracie, Elijah and Dakota, his brothers; Arnold Laws and wife, Sheila, John Laws and Ernest Laws, his sister; Annette Franklin and husband, Kenny, special friend, 'Little John' Land whom he loved like a brother, and Freddie Shrader and Shawn Queen whom he loved as his own sons.
The funeral service for Dale Laws will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev's. Jim Shoupe and Mike Laws officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Stamey Town Cemetery with honors provided by the Volunteer Firemen's Honor Guard.
The family would like to extend a 'Thank You' to Carolina Caring and Amorem Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful care of Dale during his illness.
