HURST - Dale was born in Houston to Jeri and Woody Skelton. He was second born of four children. Dale became a machinist at the age of 18.
Dale lived to make people laugh. Dale loved Jesus Christ and made a point to pray every morning for everyone in his family by name. He liked listening to music on the patio or in his backyard. He loved listening to Bo and Jim in the mornings on 92.5. He loved his trips to coast and visiting any body of water. He was an amazing cook, but he never wanted any help in the kitchen.
Survivors: Wife, Gina Vernale McBrayer; mother, Jeri Dekker; sisters, Deborah and husband, Dana Landrum, Terry and husband, Ronny Guinn; sons, Christopher McBrayer and wife, Melanie, Richard McBrayer and Dalton McBrayer and wife, Katie; daughters, Angela and husband, Kevin Karcher, Andrea and husband, Brandon Rhodes, Elizabeth and spouse, Tyler Bunch; grandchildren, Trenton McBrayer, Justin McBrayer, Macey McBrayer, Michael Higgs, Jaxon Bunch, Logan Metts, Emmah Metts, Lexi Bunch, Alix Metts, Zoey McBrayer, Autumn McBrayer, Grayson Farrington, Henry Farrington, Ryan Beaty and Brett Beaty, Everly Rhodes; great-grandchildren, Rowen Beaty and River Beaty; nieces and nephew, Josh Allred, Stephanie Smith, Donna Mason; and many great-nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Woody Skelton; stepfather, Daniel Clark; brother, Ronnie McBrayer; and his son, David McBrayer.
Funeral: 12 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Greenwood Chapel. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Greenwood.
