Dale E. Mullins, 68, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at his home.
Dale was born on Sept. 26, 1956, in La Porte, Indiana, to Billy and Celia (Walter) Mullins.
On Oct. 25, 2012, in La Porte, Indiana, he married Jeannellen "Jean" Mullins, who preceded him in death on Dec. 25, 2018. Surviving Dale are his stepchildren, Victoria (Donald) Wilson, Robert Giggy, David Stidham and Craig (Samantha) Stidham; many step-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Billy) Shook; girlfriend, Margaret Sawyer; nephews and niece, Logan Shook (Dawn Knous), Carrigan Shook (Terry Ogle) and Zaydan Shook; and great-nephew, Colter Ogle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and brother, Ronald D. Mullins.
Dale worked in the maintenance department at Millburn Peat for many years. He enjoyed fishing, collecting stickers, fishing gear and guns. Dale enjoyed telling stories about his time in Louisiana with his brother, Ronnie. He also enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with his girlfriend, Margaret.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Urn burial will take place at Patton Cemetery following the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in c/o Carol Shook, 2900 Monroe St., La Porte, IN 46350 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
