Dale Ellis Weaver, age 83, passed away peacefully at King Health and Rehab, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Ohio to Charles Elmore Weaver and Wilma Edna Weaver, Dale lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and devotion to his family. He worked as an engineer at Strohs for over 30 years until his retirement. He was also in the United States Navy and served in the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald Weaver and Walter Weaver, and his daughter Shelly Marie Weaver.
He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Rosa Medley Weaver; his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Price and husband Daniel; his sons and daughters-in-law, Dale Ellis Weaver Jr. and wife Vallerie, Keith Darren Weaver and wife Andrea, and Brian Douglas Weaver and wife Charity. Dale also leaves behind his brothers Mike Weaver and Donnie Weaver, his sister Sherley Weaver-Swhitzer, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Dale’s legacy is one of love, family, and perseverance. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his devotion to his wife and children, and the joy he found in watching his family grow.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2:00 PM at Gid Branch Baptist Church. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service will follow at White Oak Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted.
