Dale Lyle Weaver Sr., age 70 of Montello passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 21, 2024 at his home.  Dale was born in Madison on October 9, 1953 to Jack and June (Hohlstein) Weaver.  He graduated from Montello High School in 1971 and immediately became an over-the-road truck driver; he retired from that same job after 50 years of driving truck.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as his Saturday trips to the dump to visit with the neighbors.  Dale looked forward to breakfast with his friends and car rides with his faithful canine companion, Betsy.  His proudest title was grandpa and he enjoyed spending time with his family.   Dale will be remembered for his wittiness and speaking what he was thinking.

Dale is survived by his three children: Amanda (Joe Rykiel) Weaver of Oxford, Dale Jr. (Kara) of De Pere and Lynn (Wes) Hoslet of De Pere as well as nine grandchildren:  Alexandrea, Steven, Christopher, Cody, Makayla, Michael, Destiny, Anthony and Katelyn.   He is also survived by his siblings: Jeanie Kast, Cindy (Larry) Messer and Wanda Weaver and brother-in-law, Larry Wakerhauser along with other extended family members.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary, sister, Patti Wakerhauser, infant sister, Tawn, and nephew, Dylan.
