Obituary of Dalila Veronica Sebring
It is with exceptional sadness we announce the passing of Dalila Veronica Sebring (Rodriguez), 54, on Thursday, November 3rd, 2022, in Renton, WA. Her passing was unexpected, and she was surrounded by family and friends.
Dalila was born March 28, 1968, in Sunnyside, Washington. She grew up there and eventually moved to Donna, Texas and Edinburg, Texas. She settled in Tukwila, Washington with her husband and children in 1998. She achieved a degree in Psychology and Molecular Biology in 1990 from the University of Washington. In 1996, Dalila started her career with the Decode program at the University of Washington. In 2009, she was promoted to Administrator for the Oral Medicine Department at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. She devoted 27 years of service to them.
Dalila loved nothing more than spending time with her daughters, dog (Bella), and family. Dalila was very proud of her daughters. She had her daughters involved in traditional Mexican dance group, Joyas Mestizas and Rainier Dance Center, which Dalila enjoyed watching. Dalila was very active in her church and volunteered her time helping the community at University Temple Methodist Church. Dalila was involved with the PTA as President for several years at Thorndyke Elementary in Tukwila, WA.
Dalila is survived by her husband of 24 years Spencer W. Sebring, daughters Samantha and Charlee, sister Diana Rodriguez of Tukwila, WA, sister Delia Pena (Ruben) of Weslaco, TX, brother Daniel Rodriguez, Jr. (Petra) of McAllen, TX, brother David Rodriguez (Yvette) St. Paul, MN, brother Diego Rodriguez of Houston, TX, and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, god-children and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Sarita Ofilia Rodriguez and Daniel B. Rodriguez.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, December 3rd at 1 p.m. at Renton Methodist Church, 2201 NE 4 St, Renton, WA.
