Dallis Leno Wallace Jr.

Dallis Leno Wallace Jr. was born on Sunday, September 8, 1968, to Fay Mason and Dallis Leno Wallace Sr. After completing high school in Prince George, Virginia, Dallis enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1986, where he performed field maintenance on aircraft. Following his honorable separation from the Air Force in 1988, Dallis worked for five years as a supervisor at Prillaman Chemical.
He would later fully embrace the family business, Wallace Construction, where he utilized his extraordinary carpentry, masonry, and electrical skills to make a living as an independent contractor. Dallis continued in the career that had been planted in him since childhood-building, creating, and helping others-until he was no longer able to do so following a hemorrhagic stroke in 2022.
Dallis was an amazing person. If we were to close our eyes right now, we could all think of stories that would make us laugh, cry, or maybe even both-depending on which side of the story we were on. He was preceded in death by his father, Dallis Leno Wallace Sr., and his stepbrothers, James D. Mason Sr. and DeVangelo Peterson.
Dallis is survived by his devoted wife of 17 years and partner of 31 years, Tangela Baker Wallace; his sons, Kendall "Jack" Rashad Smith and Dallis "Stanka-Dank" Leno Wallace III; and his admitted "favorite kid", his daughter, DaLeila "Woot-Scoot" Le'nae Wallace; his loving mother, Fay Mason; his stepfather, James J. Mason; his godmother and devoted aunt, Joyce Crawley; goddaughter, Da'Vondria Jefferson; his stepmother, Elinor Wallace; as well as his grandchildren, Hunter Kristina Brower Smith, and Kendall Rashad Smith II.
He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, Hope "Hopewell" Elaine Wallace and Valerie "Booty Mane" Otelia Jennings (Darrell Jennings); his stepbrother, Johnathan Wesley; his nieces, Faith Ariana Gilliam, Dallena Antia Bell, and Sariyah Reign Jennings; his two nephews, Jaylen Rashaun Sharpe and Jaqual Wesley; his great niece, Serenity Grace Thaniel, and great nephew, Caden Kenneth Thaniel. Dallis also leaves behind an enormous host of family members and friends who loved him dearly.
A funeral service will be held 2PM Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Little Elam Baptist Church, 8840 Church Lane, Charles City, VA 23030, with a viewing two hours prior to services. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
