Todd Edward Post, 63, of Providence Forge, passed from this life unexpectedly, in the home he loved and cherished, on October 31, 2025. Todd went into the arms of our Lord and is now reunited with his loving parents, the late Charles E. Post and Celia A. Post. He was born January 7, 1962 and was a lifetime resident of Providence Forge in New Kent County, VA. He truly loved his home.
Todd was known around town as a jack of all trades, and there wasn't anything he couldn't work on and ultimately fix. He built decks, poured concrete, worked on countless vehicles for family and friends, and was a part of many home improvement projects and renovations for those who were lucky enough to enjoy his workmanship. He took pride in and spent much time on every project he undertook, and the outcome of his work truly reflected that. Todd was an avid hunter all of his life, known as "The Turkey Mole", and especially enjoyed calling turkeys and studying their behaviors during turkey season. Hockey was also a special love for Todd. He often went to live professional games and was there in the stands many times to support and cheer on his bonus nephew, Nicholas, who plays. Todd loved spending time with his family over a great meal and hanging out while catching up with everyone.
Todd was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles E. Post and Celia A. Post of Providence Forge. Remaining to cherish his memory are his brother, Jeffrey Earl Post Sr. of Providence Forge; an aunt, Carolyn Tomlinson of Lillington, NC; niece, Anna L. Post (Marquith) of New Kent; nephews, Jeffrey E. Post Jr. (Kristin) of Charles City, and Albert C. Post (Hayley) of King William; sister in law, Lisa G. Post of Charles City; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews. Todd also leaves many cousins, whom he was quite close to; they not only grew up spending lots of time with Todd, but also learning much from him. He is also survived by two especially dear friends, Gary Melton (Janet) of King and Queen, and Tim Burnett of Providence Forge, who will all deeply miss him. Todd's memory will also be lovingly cherished by many beloved friends and neighbors.
The family will receive friends November 7, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1 PM.
