Dalton L. Osgood   “beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend”

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa.---Dalton Lee Osgood, 18, a lifelong resident of Shinglehouse, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in the Town of Alma, N.Y. on Thursday, August 23, 2018.

Born on September 8, 1999 in Wellsville, N.Y., he was a son of Justin Osgood and Beth Carr.

Dalton attended Oswayo Valley School in Shinglehouse.  He was employed by Shutt Logging in Genesee and Top Notch Enterprises.

Dalton was an avid hunter, fisherman, and video gamer.  From his childhood, he also valued following in his father’s paths in logging and operating heavy equipment, making him an excellent operator, and also fueling his love of diesel trucks.

Surviving besides his father of Shinglehouse and his mother of Shinglehouse, are two brothers, Reece Osgood and Brent (Jenna Maxson) Dietze, both of Shinglehouse; his maternal grandparents, Shirley Carr of Shinglehouse and Tommy Carr of Shinglehouse; paternal grandparents, Gayle and Dennie Clark of Belmont, N.Y. and Ray and Sandy Osgood of Sabinsville; many special friends, including Leo Shutt, Corey James, Shawn Jones, and Spencer Cole; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, including special cousin, Makenzie Carr.

Family and friends are invited to share memories at a celebration of Dalton’s life from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018, at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
