Mr. Damario LeeQuail Nelson, 34, of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, son of Shirley D. Nelson and the late Bobby Lee Yellorday, was born November 10, 1990, in Halifax County, North Carolina.
He received his education from Roanoke Rapids City Schools.
At an early age he joined the Evangelistic Church of Deliverance in Weldon, North Carolina.
Peacefully, he answered his Master's call on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
Those left to cherish his loving memories are his mother: Shirley Dianne Nelson of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; his three children: Damoni Marquail Nelson, Damari Danarrow Nelson, and Malaysia Adanna Nelson, all of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina; four devoted siblings: Jeffery Price (Melissa) and Diatisha Langford (Lamont) of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, Lateash Jefferson (Brandon) of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Derrick Hickman (Jackie) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; a band of brothers: Jamonta, Lamonte, Jaquan, Zach, and Tavion; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
A visitation for Mr. Nelson will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, located at 520 Smith Church Road, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina 27870. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 AM.
