Dan R. Frenz, beloved son, father, and friend, passed away on November 27, 2024, at the age of 80, in his hometown of Canton, Ohio. Born on August 4, 1944, Dan dedicated his life to the field of information technology, where he made significant contributions during his tenure at Timken.
Dan was not only a devoted professional but also an active member of his community. He held membership in Trinity Lodge #710 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, where he built lasting friendships and shared joyful moments. As a member of the Al Koran Shrine, Dan participated in numerous events that brought laughter and camaraderie to both his life and the lives of those around him. In his leisure time, he found joy in golf and bowling, activities that reflected his competitive spirit and love for fun.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents John and Doris Frenz and wife Joan. He is survived by his sons Mark (Heidi) and Brian (Jennifer), grandchildren Markayla (Austin), Priya and Stevie, and siblings Terry, John, and Robyn.
Visitation for family and friends will take place on December 4, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home 801 Pittsburg Ave NW North Canton. The following day, December 5, 2024, a Funeral Service will be held at the same venue, starting at 11:00 AM with Dr. Robyn Burns officiating, with calling hours at 10:00 AM. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
