Dan passed away on November 25, 2025, in Lubbock. He was born on May 15, 1943, in Littlefield, to J.R. Wall and Aileen Ryan Wall. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1962 and, just weeks later, married the love of his life, Linda Jones, on June 29, 1962, in Hereford.
Dan and Linda built their early life together in Dalhart before settling in Plains in 1978. Dan was a proud farmer who loved the land and the community he served. He was a former member of the Plains Chamber of Commerce, served multiple terms on the Plains City Council, and was a faithful member of the Hillside Church of Christ. His steady presence, work ethic, and heart for people impacted many throughout the years.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Wall.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Linda Wall; his sons, Ronny Wall and wife Jalyn, of Lubbock, and Chad Wall and wife Jo Lena, of Ropesville. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Zane Wall and wife Caroline, Addison Wall, Jentry Ham and husband Matthew, Trenity Wall, Asher Wall, Raney Wall, Glory Wall, and Kiefer Wall; along with two great-grandchildren, Truman Ham and Audrey Ham, who brought him great joy.
Dan will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a man of quiet strength, and a faithful servant to his community. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and the many lives he touched.
