DAN C. WEARSCH

Dan C. Wearsch, age 88, entered into rest Wednesday July 30, 2025. He was born on
May 20, 1937 in Avon, Ohio, graduated from Avon High School, Class of 1955, and graduated
from the University of Toledo with a Bachelors Degree in Education. He was a carpenter by trade
and built many homes since the 1950's and also taught carpentry at Vanguard Vocational School in
Fremont for over 20 yrs.. Dan was a volunteer Fireman for North Ridgeville.
After retirement, he re-located to Colorado and worked for the U. S. Forestry Department.
He also he enjoyed building and painting birdhouses, Fly fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his 7 children, Debbie Wearsch, Dan (Jennifer) Wearsch, Tina (Scott) Sears,
Kathi (Joel) Lancaster, Keemie (Jim) Mains, Nik (Megan) Wearsch and Johanna Wearsch,
17 grandchildren, Samantha, Erik, Elizabeth, Dan, Meredith, Loren, Pete, Amanda, Nikolaus,
Morgan, Glenn, Alex, Dylan, Olivia, Greyson, Kestrel and Yoav. 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother,
Tim (Linda) Wearsch. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Patricia Wearsch
(nee Dumsky), 2nd wife Peg Wearsch (nee Mauch) and brothers Tom & Jim.
A 10:00 am Mass will be celebrated on Friday August 8, 2025 at St. Mary of the
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2680 Stoney Ridge Rd. Avon followed by
interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Avon.
