Dana A. Davidson, Sr., 76, of Hermitage, passed away Tuesday morning, December 23, 2025, in UPMC Jameson Hospital, New Castle.
Mr. Davidson was born on December 19, 1949, in Sharon, a son of the late Kenneth and Nellie (Smeraglia) Davidson. A lifelong area resident, he was a 1967 graduate of Sharon High School.
He was employed at the former General American Tank Corp (GATX) in Masury, OH, and Emerson Electric Supply in Farrell. Later, he worked at CCL Container, Hermitage, before retiring in 2015 from Wheatland Tube, where he was employed for 16 years.
A skilled poker player, he played in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas in 2009, 2015 and 2023. He also had a passion for antique cars and music, especially the Eagles.
Dana cherished nature's beauty; he and his wife drove across the country, admiring places along the way.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Linda Steklachich; a son, Dana Davidson, Jr. and his wife, Sheila, of Neshannock Twp; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Law and her husband, Eric, of Hermitage; four grandchildren who he adored, Hunter and Cayde Davidson, and Ellis and Ethan Law; and two brothers, Kenneth Davidson and his wife, Shirley, of Mercer, and Eugene Davidson and his wife, Becky, of Sharon.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, at www.stjude.org
