Dana Elizabeth Harjo, 43, of Weleetka, OK went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2024 in Muskogee, OK.
Dana was born on August 25, 1981 to Gussie L. Buckley at St. Francis in Tulsa, OK. Dana attended Weleetka Public Schools her entirety and she was proud to be a member of the Weleetka Marching Band and played the flute during high school and graduated in 2000. After high school, she went on to study at Wes Watkins and Platt College and was employed at Concentra as a nurse assistant and eventually became a pharmacy technician at Walmart. Dana was a proud member of the Muscogee Creek Nation, Kialegee Tribal Town, New Beginnings Baptist Church, Helvpe ceremonial ground and proud of all her native traditions. She loved to work on cars, attending ceremonial grounds, and mostly spending time with all her nephews and nieces.
Dana was preceded in death by maternal Great-Grandparents Timmie (OKCHUMPULLA) and Luella Jackson, Rufus and Gussie Buckley, maternal Grandparents Lorene and Kozy Buckley Sr., Uncle Leonard and Aunt Nancy Frazier and her Uncle Kozy (June) Buckley Jr.
Dana is survived by her mother Gussie Buckley of Weleetka, brothers Albert Harjo of Henryetta, Franklin (Tatie) Lewis Jr. of Weleetka, Bobby (Gooba) Lewis of Weleetka, sister Emmy Lewis of Tulsa, Uncle Mike & Aunt Olivia of OKC, Aunt Rhonda & Uncle Gary of Weleetka, Aunt Belinda of Henryetta, Uncle Charlie of Wagoner, her one and only God Son Bryson Buckley of Weleetka, her Great-Uncles' Jackie & RJ, and Great-Aunts' Diane, Karen & Molly.
She is also survived by her nephews Xzavier, Jaxsen, Kozy, Asa, Gabriel, Benjamin, Carter, Dymon, Adrian and nieces Madison, Ally, Emery, Estrella, and Luna who were her heart & soul. And a host of cousins that she loved dearly.
Serving as Pallbearers are Rylan Hicks Sr., Sonny Givens Jr., Bryson Buckley, Jimpsey Micco, Angel Buckley and Mike Manley.
Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Eric Buckley, Brian Buckley, Rufus Ellig, Johnny Watson and Xzavier Harjo.
Officiating will be Reverend Lucas Taylor and Reverend Walter Taylor.
Visitation and a small Service is scheduled at 7:00 pm at Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home (221 S. Main St Wetumka, OK) on November 6, 2024.
Wake Service is scheduled at 7:00 pm at New Beginnings Baptist Church (Turkey Pen & Hedge Rd. Henryetta, OK) on November 7, 2024.
Funeral Services are scheduled at 1:00 pm at New Beginnings Baptist Church (Turkey Pen & Hedge Rd. Henryetta, OK) on November 8, 2024.
Interment will follow at Weleetka Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Williamson-Spradlin Funeral Home of Wetumka.
