Dandre Martinez Gonzales, a man whose life was a vivid tapestry of loving connections and spirited adventures, left this world on October 30, 2025, at the age of 44. Born on November 25, 1981, in the heart of
San Antonio, Texas, Dandre's journey was one marked by a profound commitment to family, faith, and the pursuit of joy in every moment.
Dandre's early years were shaped within the nurturing walls of Smith Elementary, the vibrant hallways of Poe Junior High, and the proud corridors of Highlands High School, all in San Antonio. It was here that he discovered not just the foundations of education but the beginnings of lifelong friendships and his unquenchable spirit for adventure.
A true Renaissance man, Dandre was not only an avid breakdancer, who found the rhythm of life in every beat, but also a gifted artist whose drawings captured the imagination. His love for movies was more than a pastime; it was a window into worlds that inspired his music-a passion that he pursued with the fervor of a man whose heartbeats were in harmony with the universe.
Dandre's faith as a Christian was his compass, guiding him through life's storms and sunlit paths alike. It was this faith that shone through in his kindness, as he touched lives with the same care and attention that he devoted to his melodies.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Justina Gonzales, who instilled in him the values of love and kindness that defined his existence. His sisters, Chrystal Roberts and Evelyn Roberts, alongside their partners Joseph Hockley and Jerome Jones respectively, will carry forward the light of his presence in their lives. The legacy of Dandre's adventurous spirit lives on in his son, Jordan Garcia, who was the apple of his eye.
Dandre's grandmother, Dora Gonzales, was a beacon of wisdom and love, and his bond with her was unbreakable. His nieces, Diamond, Jai'elle, and Samone, as well as his nephews, Jerome Jr., Paul, and Adrian, will miss the joy and laughter he brought into their lives.
To speak of Dandre is to speak of a man who considered friendship a sacred bond. His friends, whom he regarded as brothers, will forever cherish the memories of times spent in his uplifting presence.
"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all," Helen Keller once said, and Dandre embodied this sentiment every day. His was a life lived with the courage to love fiercely, explore fearlessly, and to always be kind.
Dandre Martinez Gonzales leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew him and those who will come to know him through the stories that will be shared for generations. His was a life that reminds us all to embrace each day with love, to seek out the beauty in the ordinary, and to live with the conviction that our time here is precious and should be spent uplifting one another. Though he has set off on his final adventure, his spirit remains a guiding light, urging us to live fully and love deeply.
