Elvin “DANE” Bower III
Our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend was embraced in Gods loving arms and moved on to his heavenly kingdom on April 19, 2024. Dane was born September 25,1969 in San Antonio TX but grew up in Schertz,Texas and became a 1989 graduate of Samuel Clemens High School. Dane loved sports and he excelled in everything from basketball point guard, baseball pitcher and switch hitter, football to frisbee, and billiards. He was so gifted athletically that he made everything look graceful and effortless. He was a natural athlete. He had a heart of gold and was extremely loyal to his friends. He’s been missed dearly since his motorcycle accident in 1998. We were told he wasn’t going to make it and the doctors were told, “You don’t know him, he’s a fighter.” They gave him a survival rate of 7- 8 years. Dane once said that he’s better when challenged and I told him this is the biggest challenge he’ll ever have and he beat it at 25 ½ years.

Dane is preceded in death by his father Patrick Kelley, grandmother Virginia Reitzer, Uncle Steve Reitzer, and many other family members waiting for him in Heaven.

Dane is survived by his Mother, Janelle Kelley sister, Lianne Biegay, and brother Casey Kelley and other relatives of the Kelley and Bower family. Dane will be truly missed by his family and his many friends.

In Christ there are no goodbyes In Christ there is no end, so we’ll hold on to Jesus with all we have to see you once again ….

Dane, you are forever loved and in our hearts and you will never be forgotten . .
