Dane Squares

Dane Alexander Squares passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2025 at the age of 19. He was born July 26, 2005. He began his journey with April Squares on March 15, 2012 and was adopted by her on September 27, 2013. Dane was the oldest of four children.
Dane's life on earth was shorter than hoped and filled with many difficulties. Despite those challenges, he always had a smile on his face. His resilience and determination inspired others to live life to the fullest and always focus on the positivity in front of them.
The majority of Dane's life was spent in Hershey, Pennsylvania where he attended school in the Cornwall-Lebanon School District. He loved to spend time horseback riding at CATRA and participating in Special Olympics. Dane and his family moved to Saratoga Springs, Utah in June 2024 to start their new journey surrounded by the beautiful mountains, where they found peace, serenity, and adventure. He attended the last year of school at the Horizon school.
Dane loved country music, swimming, the beach, and laughing at the chaos of his siblings. He was known to all of his friends and family as a happy, go lucky, ruckus-causing, typical teenager.
Dane is survived by his mother, April, his brothers, Sy and Everett, and his sister Alivia. He is also survived by his loving grandparents, June and Harry Squares of Kintnersville, Pennsylvania. Also survived by his aunt and uncle, Tim and Kiira Squares and his cousins Mason and Adelyn Squares of Barto, Pennsylvania.
Dane's mother wishes to express her deepest gratitude to all of the medical professionals, teachers, and home health nurses that have helped support Dane throughout his journey.
Services are under the direction of Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel; 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing before the service at the mortuary from 9:30 - 10:45 AM. The interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
Following services at the cemetery, a luncheon will be held at the LDS Church located at 1998 West 900 North, Lehi, Utah.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Pennsylvania in July. Details will be announced later.
