REDKEY – Danial Jay Coleman, 58, of Redkey, IN, passed away, Friday, February 27, 2026, peacefully surrounded by loved ones, in the comforts of his home. Danial was born in Wells County, IN, on April 17, 1967, a son of the late Meredith Coleman and Rosemary (Roberts) Coleman. He attended Southern Wells High School, formerly worked in construction and for Tyson Foods in Portland, IN, for 23 years. Danial was the loving husband of Jean (Hann) Coleman who he happily married on October 2, 2010. Danial was a very energetic and funny character, who loved going places, trying new things, and any opportunity he had to help others. He didn't believe in idle hands or sitting still, so if he was awake you would find him working on something, spending time with his grandchildren, listening to classic rock music, riding his motorcycle, going to car shows or enjoying his diecast car collection. Danial is survived by his wife Jean, his mother Rosemary, 2 sons; Ethan Coleman, Josh Doutt, 2 daughters; Chasity Coleman, Jessica Dohm (Daniel), 3 brothers; David Coleman (Roberta), Joseph Coleman (Doris), Adam Coleman (Jessica), 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Meredith Coleman, and 1 sister; Beth Hess. Please come and celebrate Danial during visitation on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5-8 PM at MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel. Per Danial's wishes there will be no formal funeral service. Arrangements have been entrusted to MJS Mortuaries - Redkey Chapel.
